TapRoot Fibre Lab is devoted to creating long line flax fibre processing equipment on a scale that can generate localized economic growth in rural and smaller communities.
TapRoot Fibre Lab is dedicated to promoting local flax production. We are creating long line flax fibre processing equipment on a scale that can generate localized economic growth in rural and smaller communities. Searching for equipment was difficult and we were not able to find anything that was intended for small scale mechanized processing. In addition to our machinery, we are producing linen products product in Annapolis Valley, Nova Scotia. Our fibres are grown in Port Williams Nova Scotia at TapRoot Farms our linen products are made from hand harvested, dew retted flax. Processed using our TapRoot Fibre Lab Breaker and Scutcher and further processed using Belfast Mini Mills Separator and Carding Machines.
