How did you come up with the name of your company?
It came about as soon as the idea did really. It’s about creating a fundamental change in behaviour in terms of our approach to buying stuff. With all purchases tied in in some way to the way we treat our planet and the ticking time bomb of irreversible climate change, it all has to happen relatively quickly. So, it’s an ethical revolution that’s required.
What is your company’s mission?
To make shopping for ethical goods both easier and cheaper, with the wider aim of bringing ethical purchases in to the mainstream.
Who is your customer?
People like me – who want to buy ethical goods, but find the difference in price to be a stumbling block to do so consistently … and of course people who already shop with a conscience and are just after a good deal.
Is there someone who inspires you and why?
Many people inspire me. I have a growing list of them on my homepage (if you refresh my homepage you see a different random selection of four of them each time). From the likes of Nelson Mandela and Mahatma Gandhi to Caroline Lucas, Owen Jones, George Monbiot and Ada Colau – people who spend their lives fighting for social and environmental justice.
Is there anything else you’d like us to know about you or your company?
Erm, that you should sign up to my newsletter to receive one email every fortnight containing the best offers, discounts and vouchers on ethical goods! Give it a go, see if you can buy ethical alternatives to your normal purchases without having to spend any more…
